Does anyone out there know how to unlock a cingular phone?

I got a cingular phone as a gift and I have T-mobile service. It is the Pantech Duo. Does anyone know how to unlock it or is it a must to call cingular. How exactly do I go about doing this?? Thank you in advance :0) http://bit.ly/qbLxQV
